Boat Merge Tool

"What is the Boat Merge Tool?"

The Boat Merge tool is used when you are adding in New Boat Inventory that you currently have in stock. The Merge feature allows you to populate pre-entered data directly from the manufacturers website, saving you the hassle of entering it in yourself. You will find this tool when you are ready to add in your Inventory to your website.

First, you will log in to the Back End Control Panel, then under the Inventory section you will click on 'View / Edit Inventory' page. Then you will click on the 'Add' button. 

As you can see in the picture below, the 'boat merge' button is in the top right hand corner of the page. To activate this feature, you will need to type in and select the desired Manufacturer, the Year, and the Condition (New). 

Once you have filled out the Manufacturer, Year and Condition field, you can now hit the Merge button.

You can see in the photo below, a pop-up box will appear with all of the Models available to choose from. Once you have found the specific model, you can select the engine from the 'Engine' drop down menu, and you can also import photos from the manufacturers website by clicking the 'Import Photos' check box. Then hit the 'Copy' button to bring in the data onto the new boat form. 

If you wish to make any changes or add any additional information to your Inventory, you can easily edit any of the fields on the new boat form.

Please note: you will still need to enter in a 'Price', and fill out the 'Company Information' section and 'Boat Location' section to successfully save boat information.
